If something is wrong
When a job goes sideways
Dirt settles, a wet spring finds a low spot, a ditch takes more water than anyone planned for. When that happens on work we did, call and say so. The same person who quoted it comes back and looks at it, which is a shorter conversation than most people expect.
We would rather hear about it while the machine is still in the county. A grade that needs another pass, a swale that wants deepening, a spot of rock that pumped up through fresh fill: all of that is hours, not a lawsuit, as long as nobody sits on it for a year.
If you are reading this before you have hired anybody, here is how the day runs. The person who quotes the job walks the ground with you first and marks where the water is supposed to end up. Then the machine starts. Grading, ditching, swale work, and fill each go in the order the ground allows, and rock gets dealt with where it turns up rather than buried and forgotten. When the dirt is where it belongs, you walk the site again with that same person, and anything that does not look right gets put right before the equipment leaves Fort Smith.
